REDLINE RAMPAGE
When: 4PM on Friday, Feb 28th
Where: Theatre B
Hello!
I'm going to be hosting another panel this year, after the great turnout and positive feedback I received after nervously running my first panel ever last VF.
This time I'd like to do something a little more interactive, so I'm going to host a redlining session!
Redlining is a type of art critique that is incredibly effective for highlighting the weak-points in a drawing. This is achieved by having a peer, or mentor, draw ontop of your work. This visually and clearly illuminates not only where a drawing can be improved, but provides the artist in question with a blue-print to improve their drawing.
So what I'd like to do in this panel is provide live redlining for convention attendees interested in receiving this sort of art guidance. Depending on how many submissions I get, I'll try to get through as many as possible during the panel and provide narration as I go!
- Only G-PG rated content in the submitted artwork, please. Anything I deem above that rating won't be used in the panel.
- I encourage and look forward to artists of any skill level to submit, who would just like some personalized tips for improvement.
After the panel, I will email the redlined files back to those who submitted so that they may use it for future reference! And while having your art publically redlined, you'll be allowing the panel audience to also benefit and glean helpful tips for their own art.
Thanks to anyone who submits, and I look forward to seeing you at the panel!
